Pre-session Dialogue

Before your Quick Tally® Audience Response session, one of our experienced account executives will work with you to plan when and how to use the system to add new sharpness to your presentation. We will help you design an agenda that will achieve your meeting's specific goals and objectives.

To get the best results from a Quick Tally® interactive meeting we urge you to get our staff and field technicians involved in the early designing of your meeting. We will be available to discuss your objectives by phone, or we'll meet with you at your office. We suggest that our account executive be included in as much of the pre-planning dialogue as possible so that we may have the fullest understanding of your goals and the objectives you want to accomplish.

Through the initial conversations with us, we will help you to define how best to use Quick Tally® to help meet your objectives. How interactive do you want the session to be? How much do you want to empower the audience to drive certain parts of the meeting? How will you incorporate the session with the overall purpose of the gathering?

Developing a Questionnaire

There are an infinite number of ways to design a meeting, research session, TV program, etc. with the Quick Tally® system, and the questions asked depend on the information you want. We suggest that you call us to discuss your thoughts and ideas. Together we will develop an appropriate questionnaire to lead your session toward those objectives, usually by phone and by faxing the questions and comments back and forth. The resulting questionnaire will be pre-programmed for your session.

During your session, you can add new questions and delete or change existing questions at any time. A seasoned Quick Tally® operator will work with you on the spot at your meeting to ensure that your session runs smoothly. If needed, we will do an advance run-through/rehearsal of your questionnaire on our system at your office. Remember, your questionnaire may be ammended at any time by communicating with the Quick Tally® operator.

Impromptu Questionnaire

In some situations, there is no prepared questionnaire. These occasions are meetings in which the session has a clear goal and the moderator is prepared mentally and technically to "go with the flow." As the session progresses, the moderator feeds questions generated from the meeting to the Quick Tally® operator.

Summary

You need not be an expert at the interactive process. Most new Quick Tally® clients begin with only the basic interactive audience response techniques. As you gain interactive experience, even within your first use of the system, you will become more comfortable with utilizing the more sophisticated techniques. Quick Tally® will be there with you at every step of the way to advise you and guide you.

Remember, the best use of Quick Tally® is to ask basic, meaningful questions that break through previously unexamined areas by eliminating assumptions and misconceptions.
